New single Marry The Night

Recently Gaga announced her next single, “Mary The Night”. The song is about her husband, New York. Here’s a little background information on the song. Gaga mentioned that “Marry The Night” is her favorite song  from her new album during an interview with Ryan Seacrest on February 15th, 2011. “Marry The Night” was originally supposed to be the original single in her album. It ended up being a promotional single for the album the was released before the album, by collaborating with Zynga and created GagaVille.

Gaga said,

“You know, we’ve been working together for years, so I’m so excited. I feel like, you and I have yet to have our big hit record,” Gaga said of collaborating with Garibay. “I kept saying to him, ‘I don’t want to do anything I’ve done before. I don’t want to sound like anything I’ve done before.’”

“He goes ‘Your show is a religion and your fans are a cult,’” she recalled. “And I heard these church bells. It’s this epic music. It’s just so big. And I started to cry. He said, ‘What’s wrong?’ And I said,’I can’t believe that you hear me so big.’ ”

“It’s like Whitney, but imagine if Bruce Springsteen had a baby with Whitney Houston — that’s what it is,” she added. “And that was it! We made a baby. Finally. After all that fornication, miserably long and tedious, Fernando and I finally conceived.”

Gaga also mentioned that the song “Marry the Night” is about  her going back to New York. She wrote the song about the courage it took for her to say ‘I hate Hollywood, I just wanna live in Brooklyn and make music’.” She reiterated this sentiment in her interview with E! News, saying that the song was about her not assimilating to Hollywood and moving back to New York and to go back to her friends and family in her old apartment which she’s been living in.
